Custom Modular Pumping Systems

Modular pumping systems are typically integrated within a modular central plant. They are custom designed, factory assembled and performance tested to provide the highest-quality solution for your specific project.

A modular pumping system can be applied to chilled water, hot water and condenser water systems. These are applicable to constant speed, primary/secondary and variable primary systems or VariPrime® systems, which include integrated chiller minimum flow bypass and control valve.

Systems can be designed for indoor or outdoor applications with several enclosure options.

Typical System Components

  • Structural Base
  • Piping and Pipe Supports
  • Pumps: Flex Coupled (End Suction, Horizontal Split Case, Vertical Split Case), Closed Coupled (Vertical In-Line, End Suction)
  • Motors and Motor Control: Variable Frequency Drives – VFDs (Primary, Secondary, Condenser, Cooling Tower Fan), Combination Starters (Primary, Condenser, Cooling Tower Fan)
  • Controls and Wiring
  • Mechanical Components: Air Separators and/or Combination Mixer, Expansion Tanks, Suction Diffusers, Valves, Strainers
  • All Instrumentation

Optional Components

  • Glycol Feed Systems
  • Capacitance Tank
  • Chemical Treatment
  • Heat Exchanger
  • Make-Up Water Systems
  • Gauges
  • Other Specialties

Key Features

  • Customized solutions for your specific application
  • Single-source responsibility

Standard Pump Packages

These packages provide indoor comfort systems and comprehensive facility solutions for institutional, commercial and industrial uses.

By combining components into standard configurations, Systecon is able to offer pump packages that cost less and require less time to manufacture.

All Systecon Standard Pump Packages come with factory-mounted controls for pump sequencing and remote monitoring. Major system components include pumps, variable frequency drives, headers and structural steel bases.

Design Flexibility

Three basic systems exist:

  • Constant Speed (Primary Chilled, Condenser)
  • Variable Speed (Secondary Chilled, VS Condenser, Hot)
  • Variable Primary Flow (Chilled or Hot)

Major Components

  • Pumps: B&G end suction for all products (Model 1510)
  • Variable Speed Dives (VFD): Standard ABB product (will always be current)
  • Bases:
    • Standard structural steel
    • Interior supports for pumps, piping
    • ¼” diamond plate decking for integral working surface
    • Optional spring isolators
  • Controls: All units are pre-programmed for pump sequencing via remote start/stop; pump and VFD failure; remote monitoring of contact points
  • Spare I/O available on all units
